ADRIA GO 10, 72V Electric Outboard Motor – 6 kW / 10HP equivalent
A powerful electric outboard for demanding small boats
ADRIA GO 10 is a 72V electric outboard motor rated at 6.0 kW, designed as a practical 10 HP equivalent solution for tenders, inflatable boats, rigid inflatable boats, small fishing boats and coastal leisure use. It offers the familiar handling of a traditional outboard motor, with tiller steering, transom mounting and simple operation, while replacing fuel, noise and exhaust fumes with clean electric propulsion.
This model is designed for users who need more power than a small 3 kW electric outboard, especially when carrying heavier loads, navigating with several passengers or looking for stronger acceleration. With its 72V electrical architecture and external battery system, ADRIA GO 10 delivers higher output while keeping the motor practical to install, remove and handle.
External 72V battery system
ADRIA GO 10 uses an external 72V battery system. The battery is not included, allowing the user to choose the correct capacity and discharge capability depending on boat size, desired range and operating conditions.
This external battery configuration also improves onboard weight distribution. On inflatable boats and tenders, positioning the battery forward can help reduce bow rise, improve trim and make the boat more stable at speed. It also keeps the motor lighter than a battery-integrated design.
External battery required: battery not included with the motor.
72V system: designed for suitable 72V lithium battery packs.
Better weight balance: battery placement can be adjusted inside the boat.
Flexible autonomy: runtime depends on selected battery capacity and speed.
72V power for higher performance
The 72V platform allows ADRIA GO 10 to deliver more power with better current management than lower-voltage systems. This helps reduce excessive current draw, supports stronger acceleration and allows the motor to operate more efficiently under load when paired with a correctly sized battery.
For best performance, the battery must be capable of supplying the current required by a 6 kW electric outboard. An undersized battery can limit acceleration, reduce speed, cause voltage drop or shorten runtime. Battery selection is therefore an important part of the complete propulsion system.
6.0 kW rated output: suitable for heavier tenders and small coastal boats.
10 HP equivalent: designed as an electric alternative to a small petrol outboard.
72V operation: better suited to higher-power electric propulsion.
Direct-drive electric propulsion
ADRIA GO 10 uses a direct-drive electric motor, reducing mechanical complexity compared with traditional combustion engines. This design helps deliver smooth torque, fast response and lower maintenance requirements, with fewer service items than a petrol outboard.
Direct electric torque is especially useful when manoeuvring in a marina, accelerating a loaded tender, approaching a pontoon or controlling the boat at low speed. The result is a more comfortable and predictable driving experience.
Smooth acceleration: electric torque is available immediately.
Reduced maintenance: no fuel system, engine oil or exhaust circuit.
Quiet operation: lower vibration and noise on board.
Advanced copper-winding motor design
ADRIA GO 10 uses an advanced copper-winding motor design. Instead of presenting it only as a “hairpin motor”, which can be unclear for normal users, the key benefit is easier to understand: the winding architecture helps improve efficiency, heat dissipation and compact power delivery.
For the user, this means a motor designed to deliver strong electric output while managing heat more effectively. This supports reliable 6 kW performance in a compact outboard format.
Efficient copper winding: designed to reduce electrical losses.
Improved heat dissipation: helps maintain stable operation under load.
Compact power delivery: 6 kW output in a practical outboard size.
S / L / XL shaft options
ADRIA GO 10 is available with short, long and extra-long shaft options, making it easier to match the motor to different transom heights. Correct shaft selection is essential for efficient propulsion. If the propeller is too high, it may ventilate; if it is too low, drag and handling can be affected.
S shaft: approximately 39 cm.
L shaft: approximately 49 cm.
XL shaft: approximately 59–61 cm.
Recommended transom height: 400–600 mm depending on boat configuration.
Metal 3-blade propeller
ADRIA GO 10 is fitted with a 3-blade metal propeller designed to transfer the motor’s torque efficiently into the water. A metal propeller offers better mechanical strength than a basic plastic propeller, especially for regular marine use, shallow-water manoeuvres and demanding conditions.
Final speed and autonomy depend on hull shape, total load, battery capacity, sea state, propeller immersion and weight distribution. A rigid or well-supported hull will usually deliver better results than a heavily loaded or flexible inflatable boat.
Quiet and clean navigation
Electric propulsion removes fuel smell, reduces vibration and makes navigation much quieter than with a petrol outboard. This improves comfort on board and is useful for fishing, marina manoeuvres, protected coastal areas and leisure boating where low noise is appreciated.
Low noise: quieter than a small petrol outboard.
Reduced vibration: smoother operation on board.
No fuel on board: cleaner storage and easier handling.
Zero local emissions: suitable for sensitive waters and inland use.
Tiller control for direct handling
The tiller handle provides direct and intuitive control, keeping the motor easy to use for tenders, small boats and coastal leisure applications. The familiar outboard-style layout makes ADRIA GO 10 easy to adopt for users already used to small petrol outboards.
Direct steering: simple tiller operation.
Easy manoeuvring: useful in marinas, pontoons and tight spaces.
Responsive control: smooth electric power delivery.
Safety lanyard and marine protection
ADRIA GO 10 includes a safety lanyard for emergency stop operation. This allows the motor to shut down quickly if the operator is separated from the tiller, improving safety during navigation.
The motor is designed for marine use with an indicated IP67 / IP68 protection rating. As with any marine electrical equipment, correct installation, rinsing after saltwater use and regular inspection are recommended to preserve long-term reliability.
Safety lanyard: emergency stop function.
Marine protection: IP67 / IP68 indicated rating.
Saltwater care: rinse and inspect after use in seawater.
Easy to install, remove and store
ADRIA GO 10 remains practical for a 6 kW electric outboard. Its external battery configuration keeps the motor separate from the battery pack, making it easier to manage the weight on board and during installation.
This is useful for users who remove the motor after each outing, store the motor separately from the battery or transport the boat and propulsion system independently.
External battery: keeps the motor separate from the battery weight.
Transom-mounted design: familiar installation for small boats.
Portable layout: easier storage and handling than integrated systems.
Performance depends on the boat setup
A 6 kW electric outboard can deliver strong performance, but final results depend heavily on the boat. Hull shape, total weight, battery discharge capability, sea state and weight distribution all have a major effect on speed and range.
For best results, use a correctly sized 72V battery, keep the boat as light as practical, select the correct shaft length and distribute weight carefully. A light planing hull or well-balanced rigid inflatable boat will generally perform better than a soft or heavily loaded inflatable hull.
Recommended 72V battery
For optimal performance, we recommend using a high-discharge 72V lithium battery capable of supplying the current required by a 6 kW electric outboard. ADRIA GO 10 is supplied without battery, allowing the user to select the right battery capacity depending on the boat, range and expected operating time.
